Family Fun & Flight is a full-scale aviation event featuring static aircraft displays and exciting flying performances, showcasing local civilian and commercial aircraft along with aviation clubs and organizations. Guests will enjoy up-close interactions with aircraft and crews, educational displays, and scenic flights around our beautiful city provided by Super T Aviation. Admission is free on July 10 and $5 on July 11 (12 and under free). As a fully volunteer-run event, we invite your business to consider sponsoring at one of our four levels. Any support is greatly appreciated, with proceeds beyond event costs donated to local charities.

Enjoy a full day of excitement featuring impressive static aircraft displays, opportunities to meet pilots and crew, thrilling aerial performances, hands-on STEM activities, fire truck tours, classic car showcases, delicious local food vendors, and so much more! Don’t forget to pack sunscreen and bring a water bottle to stay cool and comfortable throughout the day.
History
Our co-pilot
Family, Fun, and Flight was founded by Dave Rozdeba in 2009 when Vintage Wings of Canada restored an original Golden Hawk F86 Sabre "Hawk One." Dave’s father, Ed Rozdeba, had been an original Golden Hawk pilot, making it especially meaningful for Hawk One to stop in Medicine Hat during its Canadian tour. Since then, the airshow has taken place every second summer, featuring impressive aircraft such as A-10 Warthogs, CF-18 Hornets, The Canadian Snowbirds, Harvards, Pitts Specials, and more. in 2017, Dave passed away, but his legacy of the show and passion of aviation continues to live on through Family, Fun, and Flight.
